They achieved limited success despite an airing on John Peel’s Radio 1 show and were not successful in being signed up. By 1981 they were advertising for a new lead singer.

Jeremy "Jez" Strode (born 17 January 1958 in London) is best known as the drummer for the English pop band, Kajagoogoo. Strode began his musical career in a band called Art Nouveau, with future Kajagoogoo bandmates Nick Beggs, Steve Askew and Stuart Croxford Neale.

The album was co-produced by the band themselves, now a four-piece group, along with Colin Thurston, who had also produced their debut, White Feathers (1983). It is the final album to date to feature founding drummer Jez Strode.
