About Browning. At the Browning School, we put the development of boys at the heart of everything we do. Since 1888, we have been committed to boys’ education and we remain unsurpassed in our commitment to using research-based methods to teach our students.
The Browning School is a college preparatory school for boys located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Founded in 1888 by John A. Browning, the school is a member of the New York Interschool.

School Announcements. Welcome Back Lions! Breakfast begins at 8:30 am. Student Dress Code: Navy/Khaki bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers, skorts) White or Light Blue Polo Shirts or Livingston t-shirt. Closed toed shoes NO Crocs, sandals, or slides. Uniforms are to be worn Monday-Thursday. Friday is dress down day.
