He is only son of the late Bro. Frank Melton, Jr, minister emeritus of Shady Acres Church of Christ , who served as full time minister for 46 years, & Kathryn Emma Melton. They prepared and trained Frank III for ministry at an early age. He was baptized into the body of Christ in 1979.
