Happy 125th birthday to Dorothy Elizabeth Gish. I absolutely love this portrait of Dorothy circa 1917-1918 looking mischievous and wearing the black wig seen in most of her Artcraft films between 1917-1919. Why the powers that be elected to hide Dorothy’s more natural blonde locks is anyone’s guess.
