János "Johnny" Weissmüller Jr. (September 23, 1940 – July 27, 2006) was an American actor and longshoreman. He also authored a book about his father, the five-time Olympic Games gold medalist Johnny Weissmuller, who achieved additional fame playing the title role in the Tarzan movies of the 1930s and 1940s.
September 1905 wurde hier Johnnys jüngerer Bruder Peter Weissmuller Jr. geboren. In Windber lebte die Familie einige Jahre, bis sie nach Chicago zog, wo Johnny gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder in einem Viertel der Banater Schwaben aufwuchs. Johnny Weissmüller nahm hier an einigen Jodelwettbewerben teil.
Johnny Weissmuller Jr. was an actor and the son of Tarzan star Johnny Weissmuller. He appeared in movies such as THX 1138, American Graffiti and Tarzoon: Shame of the Jungle.

1. Aug. 2006 · Johnny Weissmuller Jr., 65, son of the famed Olympic swimmer and Tarzan actor who took after his father in both fields, died Thursday of liver cancer at a San Francisco hospital.
With his third wife, Beryl, he had three children, Johnny Weissmuller, Jr. (1940–2006), Wendy Anne Weissmuller (born 1942), and Heidi Elizabeth Weissmuller (1944–1962), who was killed in a car crash. He also had a stepdaughter with Baumann, Lisa Weissmuller-Gallagher.
Johnny Weissmuller Jr. was the son of the Olympic swimmer and Tarzan actor. He wrote a biography of his father and shared his memories and insights in this interview. He died of liver cancer in 2006 at age 65.
