Saïd Aouita (Arabic: سعيد عويطة; born November 2, 1959) is a former Moroccan track and field athlete. He is the only athlete in history to have won a medal in each of the 800 meters and 5000 meters at the Olympic games.

Saïd Aouita was one of the most versatile middle and long distance runners, covering all distances between 800 and 10,000 metres. He achieved his greatest international success in the 5,000 metres, winning that event at the 1984 Olympics and the 1987 World Championships in Rome.

Aouita, now 40 and a private businessman, won the 5,000 metres gold medal at the 1984 at Los Angeles Olympics and at the 1987 world championships in Rome. He held sway over a broad range of distances, broke five outdoor world records -- 1,500, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000 metres and two miles -- and set an indoor world best in the 3,000 metres.
