Ludwig Durlacher, also known as Louis Attila, (July 2, 1844 – March 15, 1924) was a Grand Duchy of Baden-born American strongman, gym owner and personal trainer. He trained members of European royal families and American high society as well as athletes like Eugen Sandow and James J. Corbett.
Ludwig Durlacher, oder auch Professor Attila, wie er sich selbst nannte, war einer der ersten Krafttrainer, ein Pionier auf dem Gebiet des Personal Trainings für die Reichen und Berühmten sowie ein Gymnastiktrainer für Frauen. Durlacher wurde 1844 in Karlsruhe geboren.

Louis Durlacher, who adopted the name Professor Louis Attila, was an acknowledged strongman/bodybuilding hero who has been referred to as the "Father of Modern Bodybuilding." Durlacher obtained his childhood education from a Professor Ernst, who taught him, among other things, proficiency in five languages and how to play the piano.
