Williams (March 18, 1928 – December 27, 2012), known primarily as Dr. Sid, was a chiropractor most well known for establishing the largest single-campus chiropractic school, Life University.
Dr. Sid Williams was a pioneer of chiropractic and the founder of Life University. He was a former football star, a military officer, a publisher and a prolific writer on chiropractic science and philosophy.
By 1990, under the leadership of the founder/president Dr. Sid Williams, Life College had grown to become the largest chiropractic college in the world. In 1996, Life College expanded its degree offerings to include an undergraduate school and became Life University.
The history of Life Foundation would not be complete without the awareness of its founder, Dr. Sid Williams. Sid Williams grew up in Atlanta’s West End and was an only child. Throughout his childhood, his mother insisted on perfection and repeatedly told him that he would one day be the president.
