16. Feb. 2023 · Sam Graddy was Delta's first Black pilot in 1968 and its first Black captain in 1979. He served as a Second Officer and a Captain for Delta until his retirement in 2001.
Sam Graddy played three seasons for the Raiders from 1990-92 and won two medals in track and field at the 1984 Olympics. He shared his story of how he transitioned from track to football and his bond with Willie Gault.
