Erki Nool (born 25 June 1970, in Võru, Estonia) is an Estonian decathlete and former politician . Life and career. Nool grew up in an impoverished environment in the southern part of Võru. His father was a worker in a furniture factory and his mother was in charge of the finances of a school. There were six children, with Erki the third youngest.
Erki NOOL is a former Estonian athlete who won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He also holds the national records in the decathlon, heptathlon and long jump, and competed in various other events such as sprints, hurdles and throws.
Erki Nool (sündinud 25. juunil 1970 Võrus) on Eesti poliitik ja endine kergejõustiklane (kümnevõistleja). 2000. aasta suveolümpiamängudel Sydneys tuli ta kümnevõistluses olümpiavõitjaks.
