Ralph Modjeski (born Jan. 27, 1861, Kraków, Pol.—died June 26, 1940, Los Angeles) was a Polish-born American bridge designer and builder, outstanding for the number, variety, and innovative character of his projects.
Modjeski embraced and developed new concepts that set records for movable and fixed bridges. Partnered with Alfred Noble, he served as Chief Engineer for threeswing bridges across the Columbia and Willamette Rivers in Portland, Oregon, all between 1905-1908.

For purposes of American citizenship, the Polish form of the name was later changed to Modjeski (feminine form Modjeska).
