The Innocence Mission is an American indie folk band formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1986. The band is composed of Karen Peris (née McCullough), her husband (and fellow guitarist) Don Peris, and Mike Bitts (on bass guitar). 5. Okt. 2021 · Zwar unterstreicht Peris als Haupt-Songschreiberin bei The Innocence Mission ihre beneidenswerten Fertigkeiten immer wieder und hat schon längst nichts mehr zu beweisen, dennoch ist “A Song Is Way Above The Lawn” nach dem 2012er Erstlingswerk “Violet” bereits ihre zweite Soloplatte.
The name geranium lake is borrowed from the tint of red paint to suggest a place, and the song has to do with returning to a beloved place in the memory. An early version of this song was a b-side on the bright as yellow single. The demos have been re- sung in 2022, but are otherwise original band recordings from our former Keppel Building ...
