Bei dem Begriff whodunit handelt es sich um die phonetisch geschriebene Frage Who done it? (kurz für Who has done it? ), zu Deutsch „Wer hat es getan?“. Der Begriff wird im Englischen benutzt, um ein Teil- Genre des Krimis näher zu klassifizieren.
