16. Feb. 2018 · John Ortiz plays a saintly and sympathetic insurance assessor named Daniel who pays him a visit to see whether anything might be of value. He’s there at the request of Ronnie’s pregnant granddaughter (Tamblyn), who’s growing increasingly frustrated with his stubbornness from the comfort of her suburban sprawl.
An interconnected set of stories about nostalgia. It has a wistful, melancholic vibe, and considering the tragic death of director Mark Pellington’s wife, which has informed a number of his films, a story about holding onto memories of loved ones in different ways feels personal.
