This time, Slip (Leo Gorcey), Sach (Huntz Hall) and the gang come into possession of a race horse. Slip is convinced that the horse, which he'd picked up as payment for a debt owed to sweet-shop owner Louie (Bernard Gorcey) by stable owner Flynn (Tim Ryan), is a thoroughbred.
The boys get mixed up with a race horse and crooked gamblers. Slip, Sach, Chuck , Butch and Whitey suddenly become the Mahoney Collection Agency when they learn that Flynn, stable and second-hand store owner, has owed $250 to Louie, Sweet Shop proprietor, for over two years.
