Meanwhile, Cornelia Van Gorder has various people arrive at her old mansion, including her niece, Dale, a bank employee, and police detective Anderson.
A master criminal, the Bat, terrorizes the occupants of a country mansion and robs a bank. He is finally exposed as Detective Anderson, who was clobbered by the Bat earlier and took his identity.
