Cephas & Wiggins was an American acoustic blues duo, composed of the guitarist John Cephas (September 4, 1930 – March 4, 2009) and the harmonica player Phil Wiggins (May 8, 1954 – May 7, 2024) They were known for playing Piedmont blues.
Cephas and Wiggins were an acoustic duo who picked up the banner of Piedmont Blues in the 1980s and revitalised it with their own dramatic compositions. Guitarist John Cephas was born in Washington DC in 1930 and sang in a Gospel group as a kid and picked up some finger-style guitar from an aunt.

The two met at the Smithsonian Folklife festival in 1976, and they’ve been playing together since. They embody a superlative, fun and delightful blues style, the essence of true-hearted down-home blues sung and played the real way, with every song a sweet kiss of the country blues revival.
Homemade is an album by the American musical duo Cephas & Wiggins, released in 1999. It was their second album for Alligator Records. The duo supported the album with a North American tour. Homemade was nominated for a W. C. Handy Award for best "Traditional Blues Album".
