Edward James Holland Jr. (born October 30, 1939) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is brother to Brian Holland. Holland was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Although he was an early Motown artist who recorded minor hit singles such as "Jamie", he started working behind the scenes due to stage fright.
Eddie Holland was a singer who had a few hits before becoming a songwriter and vocal arranger for Motown. He co-wrote over 150 chart hits with his brother Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier, including 10 Number 1 hits with the Supremes.
