Amadeo Roldán y Gardes ( Paris, 12 June 1900 – Havana, 7 March 1939) was a Cuban composer and violinist. Roldán was born in Paris to a Cuban mulatta and a Spanish father.

5. Jan. 2018 · Paris, the mecca of the international artistic avant-garde in the first half of the 20th century, had long ago welcomed the music of Afro-Cubanist composers Amadeo Roldán and Alejandro García Caturla, with the help of Carpentier, a resident of the French capital from 1928 to 1939.
The Amadeo Roldán Theatre (Spanish: Teatro Amadeo Roldán) is a theatre in Havana, Cuba built in 1929. The theatre was destroyed in 1977 by a pyromaniac ; it was re-opened in 1999 as the head office of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba which performs seasonal every Sunday at 11:00PM.
Amadeo Roldán ( b. 12 July 1900; d. 2 March 1939), Cuban composer, conductor, and violinist. Born in Paris of Cuban parents, Roldán settled in Havana in 1921 after studying with A. F. Bordas and Conrado del Campo in Spain.
