Brenda Holloway (born June 26, 1946) is an American soul singer who was a recording artist for Motown Records during the 1960s. Her best-known recordings are the hits "Every Little Bit Hurts", "When I'm Gone", and "You've Made Me So Very Happy".
Biografie. In ihrer Kindheit in Los Angeles sang Brenda Holloway im Kirchenchor und lernte Geige spielen. Erste Plattenaufnahmen machte sie schon mit 14 Jahren zusammen mit ihrer jüngeren Schwester Patrice. Danach sang sie bei der Vorgängerband der Whispers und arbeitete als Studiosängerin.
