17. Dez. 1999 · Rex Allen was an American actor, singer and songwriter who narrated many Disney nature and Western films. He also starred in several Western TV shows and movies, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Rex Allen started out as a singer in vaudeville, and sang on numerous radio shows before hooking up with a traveling rodeo show. He signed with Republic Pictures and became a popular singing cowboy, and was often paired with sidekick Slim Pickens.
Rex was a real cowboy who became the last of the singing cowboys of Western movie fame. Inside the museum, opened in 1989 to honor the famous home-town boy, you’ll see memorabilia from his lifetime success in rodeo, radio, movies and televison.
