James Guy Tucker Jr. (born June 13, 1943) is an American former politician, businessman, and attorney who served as the 43rd governor of Arkansas from 1992 until his resignation in 1996 after his conviction for fraud during the Whitewater affair.

Dez. 1992 · He was elected lieutenant governor in 1990; he resigned from his position as a senior partner in his law firm to become acting governor in October 1991, when then-Governor Bill Clinton began his campaign for President. Tucker became Governor of Arkansas on December 12, 1992, after Clinton resigned to become President.
