Commandant de la Légion d'honneur le 27 juillet 1806. Il fait la campagne de Prusse et se distingue à Halle (17 oct. 1806), à Strelitz (31 oct.), où il est vainqueur, à Lübeck (6 nov.). Remarqué pour son intrépidité, son énergie et son sang-froid, il est promu général de brigade le 13 novembre 1806.
