Nancy Halliday Ely-Raphel (born 1937) is an American diplomat. She was the United States Ambassador to Slovenia from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, she was the first Director of the U.S. State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.
Nancy Ely-Raphel has most recently served as Vice President and Managing Director of Save the Children. Prior to that appointment she was the Counselor on International Law in the U.S. Department of State.
U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia. Nancy Ely-Raphel was nominated by President Clinton on April 2, 1998, confirmed by the Senate on June 26, 1998, and sworn-in by U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Pickering on August 13, 1998. She presented her credentials on September 2, 1998.
