Yasser Abed Rabbo (Arabic: ياسر عبد ربه) also known by his kunya, Abu Bashar (Arabic: ابو بشار) (born 1944) is a Palestinian politician and a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee.
Yasser Abed Rabbo, born in Jaffa (present-day Israel) in 1944, founded the Palestinian Democratic Union (FIDA) in 1990, after breaking away from the DFLP. In 2016, Mahmoud Abbas removed him as secretary general of the PLO ‘s Executive Committee – a position he had held since 2009 – and replaced him with Saeb Erekat .
