Johann II Bernoulli war ein Schweizer Mathematiker, Physiker und Jurist aus der berühmten Basler Mathematiker-Familie Bernoulli.
Johann II Bernoulli (also known as Jean; 18 May 1710 in Basel – 17 July 1790 in Basel) was the youngest of the three sons of the Swiss mathematician Johann Bernoulli. He studied law and mathematics, and, after travelling in France, was for five years professor of eloquence in the university of his native city.
Johann I Bernoulli (* 27. Juli jul. / 6. August 1667 greg. in Basel; † 1. Januar 1748 ebenda) war Schweizer Mathematiker und Arzt, der jüngere Bruder von Jakob I Bernoulli und der Vater von Nikolaus II Bernoulli, Daniel Bernoulli und Johann II Bernoulli .
Biography. Johann (II) Bernoulli was one of three sons of Johann Bernoulli. In fact he was the most successful of the three. He originally studied law and in 1727 he obtained the degree of doctor of jurisprudence. He worked on mathematics both with his father and as an independent worker.
