Orazio Grassi, S.J. (b. Savona 1 May 1583 – d. Rome 23 July 1654), was an Italian Jesuit priest, who is best noted as a mathematician, astronomer and architect. He was one of the authors in controversy with Galileo Galilei on the nature of comets. His writings against Galileo were published under the pseudonym Sarsi.

Figlio di Camillo, nacque a Savona il 1° maggio 1583. Dopo un'infanzia e una prima giovinezza trascorse nella città natale a diciassette anni si recò a Roma entrando, il 18 ott. 1600, nel noviziato gesuitico di S. Andrea al Quirinale. Nella Compagnia e a Roma il G. compì tutti gli studi superiori.
Orazio Grassi was a Jesuit mathematician and architect who disputed with Galileo on the nature of comets. He wrote several books on the topic, including a reply to Galileo's Saggiatore, and later showed no hostility toward him during his trial.
