Sir Richard Owen (* 20. Juli 1804 in Lancaster; † 18. Dezember 1892 im Richmond Park von London) war ein britischer Mediziner, Zoologe, vergleichender Anatom, Physiologe und Paläontologe. Er wird nach Charles Darwin als zweitbedeutendster Naturforscher des Viktorianischen Zeitalters angesehen.
