Thingumybob (englisch für: Eigenname Thingumybob) ist ein Lied der britischen Brassband Black Dyke Mills Band, das 1968 als Single A-Seite veröffentlicht wurde. Komponiert wurde es von Paul McCartney und unter der Autorenangabe Lennon/McCartney veröffentlicht.

Thingumybob was written by Kenneth Cope and starred Stanley Holloway, Rose Hill and John Junkin. Holloway played mischievous old age pensioner Bob Bridge who was always hatching schemes. The comedy was produced for the new London Weekend Television franchise which had just been awarded by ITV in 1968.
Thingumy and Bob (Swedish: Tofslan och Vifslan, Finnish: Tiuhti ja Viuhti) are recurring characters in the Moomin works. Tofslan and Vifslan, as names, were based on those of Tove Jansson and her girlfriend at the time, Vivica Bandler .
Thingumy and Bob are two shy little creatures who arrive in Moominvalley carrying a mysterious suitcase. They’re a private pair, preferring to keep themselves to themselves and even speaking their own special language.
