Our University was founded in 1969 as the Higher Teachers’ School, since then it has changed its status several times, and finally in 2011 was transformed into the Jan Kochanowski University (JKU). The JKU is the flagship institution of higher learning in the Świętokrzyskie Province.

Die Jan-Kochanowski-Universität (polnisch: Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach) ist eine staatliche Universität in Kielce in der Woiwodschaft Heiligkreuz im Südosten Polens. Die Universität Kielce wurde 2011 gegründet und nach dem polnischen Renaissance-Dichter Jan Kochanowski benannt.

Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce English Division. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Science in its current form (as a part of JKU) was established in 2001. In recent years several projects co-financed by the EU unabled to develop our infrastructure to be one of the most innovative in Poland.
Offert in Education. The Institute of Physics offers: First- and second-cycle programmes (3 years undergraduate studies and 2 years graduate studies, respectively) in the field of Physics in the following specialities: Physics and Computer Science (specialization teaching) Medical Physics.
