Für ihr Buch Nobody erhielt sie 2019 den London Hellenic Prize. Alice Oswald war im Wintersemester 2015/2016 Samuel-Fischer-Gastprofessorin für Literatur an der Freien Universität Berlin. Von 2019 bis 2023 war sie Oxford Professor of Poetry an der University of Oxford.
Alice Priscilla Lyle Oswald (née Keen; born 31 August 1966) is a British poet from Reading, Berkshire. Her work won the T. S. Eliot Prize in 2002 and the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2017. [1] [2] In September 2017, she was named as BBC Radio 4's second Poet-in-Residence, succeeding Daljit Nagra. [3]
Oswald is the author of 11 collections of poetry. Her first collection of poetry, The Thing in the Gap-Stone Stile (1996), received a Forward Poetry Prize for Best First Collection. She often works in book-length projects and is known for her interests in gardening, ecology, and music.
