Sébastien Faure (born 6 January 1858 in Saint-Étienne, Loire, France; died 14 July 1942 in Royan, Charente-Maritime, France) was a French anarchist, freethought and secularist activist and a principal proponent of synthesis anarchism. Before becoming a free-thinker, Faure was a seminarist.
Orateur anarchiste réputé. Après son installation à Paris en 1888, Sébastien Faure travailla encore comme employé à la Société des voyages et villégiatures à crédit, et s’inscrivit au groupe Les Insurgés du XVIIIe, qui rassemblait des citoyens appartenant à toutes les écoles socialistes.
