Annie Freud (born 1948) is an English poet and artist. She is the eldest child of the artist Lucian Freud , [1] and his first wife Kitty Garman . [2] Earlier in her career, she was a civil servant.

Annie Freud is a writer, teacher and embroiderer. She grew up in London and graduated in English and European Literature from the University of Warwick. In 2006 she published A Voids Officer Achieves the Tree Pose, a poetry pamphlet with Donut Press.
Annie Freud is a poet, translator, teacher, editor, and painter. Her first collection The Best Man That Ever Was (Picador, 2007) received a Poetry Book Society recommendation and was awarded the Dimplex Prize for New Writing.
