Ronald Kinnoch (1910–1994) was a British screenwriter and film producer. Among other films, he produced Escape Route (1952) with George Raft in the lead. Kinnoch also directed the 1958 film The Secret Man (1958).
Plot. In late 1960s Australia, four orphan boys from a Roman Catholic orphanage in the outback of Australia – Maps, Misty, Spark and Spit – were all born in the month of December, and for their birthday, they are sent on a holiday to the beach to stay with Mr. and Mrs. McAnsh.

Die Musik stammt von dem australischen Filmkomponisten Carlo Giacco (* 1972); der Titelsong wurde von Peter Cincottikomponiert und gesungen.
Auszeichnungen
Drehbuchautor Marc Rosenberg erhielt 2007 einen Awgie Award der Australian Writers’ Guild. Regisseur Rod Hardy wurde 2008 auf dem Giffoni Film Festival mit dem CGS Awardausgezeichnet.
