James Henry Ford (August 23, 1941 – November 18, 2007) [1] [2] was an American singer-songwriter originally from Johnson County, Kentucky. After living in New Orleans, Ford moved to Los Angeles, and finally settled in Fort Bragg, California. His music is a mixture of soul, country and folk.

Harlan County is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Jim Ford. It was released on Sundown Records in 1969, and reissued on Light in the Attic Records in 2011. The album received universal acclaim from critics.
