John Gavin (born Juan Vincent Apablasa; April 8, 1931 – February 9, 2018) was an American actor and diplomat who was the president of the Screen Actors Guild (1971–73), and the United States Ambassador to Mexico (1981–86).
John Gavin (* 8. April 1931 [1] in Los Angeles, Kalifornien als John Anthony Golenor; † 9. Februar 2018 in Beverly Hills, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, der auch als Präsident der Schauspielergewerkschaft sowie als Botschafter in Mexiko fungierte.
John Gavin was a film and TV actor who starred in Psycho, Spartacus and Imitation of Life, and later became Ronald Reagan's ambassador to Mexico. He also served in the Navy, the Screen Actors Guild, and founded several successful ventures in the U.S. and Latin America.
