Castel San Pietro Terme è un comune situato lungo la storica via Emilia (la cui costruzione si deve agli antichi romani), a circa 20 chilometri ad est di Bologna; il capoluogo è lambito dal torrente Sillaro, che incomincia da qui il suo percorso in pianura e determina il confine tra Emilia e Romagna.

Castel San Pietro Terme is on the border between Emilia and Romagna and is renowned for its thermal spa, brand new 18-hole golf course and race-track. The origin of spa treatments in Castel San Pietro dates back to 1337, although the first real spa facility was built in 1870.
Castel San Pietro Terme est une commune située le long de la via Emilia à 20 km à l’Est de Bologne et 11 km à l’ouest d’ Imola. Le chef-lieu est raccordé par la route SP14 à l’autoroute A14 est à 4 km du centre de la cité et à la zone artisanal de Poggio, puis à la commune de Medicina (10 km).
