Jews’ Free School (JFS) was first started in 1732 as the ‘Talmud Torah of the Great Synagogue of London’. In 1822, the school became ‘The Jews’ Free School’ and relocated to the centre of the East End, Bell Lane in Whitechapel. It shortly became the largest Jewish school in the whole of Europe and still is to this day!
We provide first class preparation for our students’ futures. JFS was founded in 1732 and is one of the oldest Jewish institutions in the world. JFS relocated to a purpose built 23 acre site in Kenton in 2002. JFS has over 2000 students and is the biggest Jewish School in Europe.
JFS consistently, individually assess each student. They have substantial data and reports on the progress on each child in each of their subjects, and if at any point they drop a grade or are failing to achieve their predicted grades, there is HUGE amounts of intervention.
