Jay Oliva (born 1976) is an American film director, producer, and storyboard artist working at Los Angeles –based animation studio Lex+Otis. Career. Oliva first started in animation as a cleanup artist for the animated Fox TV series Spider-Man in 1996, where he eventually started his career as a storyboard artist.

She hurriedly performs a ritual of protection on a young Alexandra and tells her to hide deep in Mt. Makiling. Before her daughter runs off, she reminds her to “see beyond what’s outside.”.
In May 2018 Netflix reach out to Jay Oliva, who was based in the United States at the time, to work with a potential Trese animated series. Oliva accepted the role to be Trese' s director a month later.
It was directed by Jay Oliva, who worked as a storyboard artist on Man of Steel, Under the Red Hood, Year One and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Several other Batman veterans were also involved in the film. Part 1 was released on September 25, 2012, and Part 2 was released on January 29, 2013.
