The History of Parkway Schools. The Parkway School District celebrated its 50th Anniversary on May 8, 2004. It marked the date of the special election in 1954 which resulted in the consolidation of three elementary school districts into one large district.
Parkway Schools include 18 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 4 high schools and a choice high school program and an Early Childhood Center with programs across the district. Parkway achievement scores consistently rank among the top 15% of school districts in the state (English, math and science).
