James "Biggles" Bigglesworth är huvudpersonen i en lång rad böcker av W.E. Johns. I de första böckerna är han stridspilot under första världskriget. Under mellankrigstiden åtar han sig privata uppdrag som pilot. När andra världskriget bryter ut tjänstgör han återigen som stridsflygare. Efter kriget arbetar han för Scotland Yard.
