About the Program. The Bachelor of Science [Generic Pathway] nursing program is designed for students who wish to become nurses over a four-year course of study in the liberal arts & sciences and professional nursing. On completion of the program, students are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam, the licensing examination for registered nurses.

The Hunter School of Nursing RN-to-BS program of study combines liberal arts and professional nursing education with a humanistic and comprehensive approach to health care, leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing. The undergraduate program also provides a foundation for graduate study. The Program consists of two parts:
Traditional Four Year: July 1. (Priority deadline is Feb. 1 to maximize scholarship opportunities) Ascent Program: LPN-BSN & Advanced Placement Program: Spring Start: November 1. Summer Start: March 1. Second Degree Accelerated Programs: Rolling Admissions Year-Round. Online RN-BSN Program: Spring Start: December 15.
