William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter who achieved fame as the lead vocalist of the rock band Oasis from 1991 to 2009. He later fronted the rock band Beady Eye from 2009 to 2014, before starting a successful solo career in 2017.
Biography. Oasis were formed in Manchester in 1991. They were originally called The Rain before Noel joined the band. Prior to Noel joining, the band consisted of: Liam Gallager: lead vocals, Paul Authurs: guitar, Paul McGuigan: bass, and Tony McCarroll: drums. Before joining Oasis, Noel was a roadie/technician for the band Inspiral Carpets.
