The Sound of Silence (englisch für „Der Klang der Stille“), auch The Sounds of Silence ‚Die Klänge der Stille‘, ist ein Folk-Rock-Song des US-amerikanischen Duos Simon & Garfunkel. Das von Paul Simon geschriebene Stück wurde erstmals 1964 auf dem Album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. veröffentlicht.
