This film is a live-action adaptation of "The Archies," a fictional rock band who appeared in the 1960's animated cartoon, The Archie Show (with characters drawn from Archie Comics). The film stars Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor , Suhana Khan , Vedang Raina , Mihir Ahuja, Aditi "Dot" Saigal and Yuvraj Menda.

Die Fernsehserie baute auf den Zeichentrickfiguren The Archies auf, die Comic-Verleger John L. Goldwater ab Dezember 1942 in Zeitungen veröffentlicht hatte. Der banale Inhalt handelt von Archie, der gleichzeitig in Betty und Veronica verliebt ist und sich zwischen beiden nicht entscheiden kann.
The Archies was een garageband opgericht door Archie Andrews, Reggie Mantle en Jughead Jones. Het was een groep van fictieve tieners uit het "Archie universum", in de context van de tekenfilmreeks The Archie Show uit eind jaren 60, begin jaren 70. In België en Nederland scoorden ze in 1969 een grote hit met het nummer Sugar, Sugar .
