In 1962, they were signed to a recording contract by HMV Records and their debut single It's Too Late Now in 1963 just crept into the British charts at Number 30. Their next single Hippy Hippy Shake crashed into the Hit Parade and just fell short of the Number 1 slot ...
The Swinging Blue Jeans is een Britse popgroep, oorspronkelijk uit Liverpool. De groep had in 1964 drie hits: Hippy Hippy Shake, Good Golly Miss Molly en You’re No Good. Na 1964 kwam ze nooit meer terug in de hitparade. De band bestaat nog steeds, maar het laatste lid van de originele band, Ray Ennis, is in mei 2010 vertrokken.
Lead Guitar / Lead Vocal. Alan has been the right hand man to founder members of The Swinging Blue Jeans (Les Braid & Ray Ennis) for many years. Les Braid sadly passed away in 2005. Ray Ennis announced his retirement from the group in 2010. Alan started his career in the early Sixties. and has toured & recorded with many named acts such as: -.
