Meer toeval/geluk dan een muzikale invloed. In dat opzicht denk ik niet dat hun invloed op, om maar enkele namen te noemen, Blondie, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks en The Stranglers groot is geweest.

The Tubes formed on March 22, 1972, in San Francisco, California, featuring members from two Phoenix, Arizona bands who had relocated to San Francisco in 1969.
