When a sprint finishes, then assign outstanding issues to the next sprint. Go to rule . When an issue moves to ‘In Progress’ and the sprint is empty, then move the issue to the next active sprint.

The time when work in the Sprint is ended in order to Review, Retrospect, and Plan. The Sprint End is usually a set date and time, but may be pre-determined by an event, as “We’ll have Sprint End when Doug gets back from Europe…”.
A new Sprint starts immediately after the conclusion of the previous Sprint. If cycles are longer, then the spirit of frequent feedback cycles can be lost. Longer Sprint may also get too complex and may increase risk.
The Sprint Retrospective concludes the Sprint. It is timeboxed to a maximum of three hours for a one-month Sprint. For shorter Sprints, the event is usually shorter. During the Sprint Retrospective, the team discusses: What went well in the Sprint; What could be improved; What will we commit to improve in the next Sprint
Es kommt recht häufig vor, dass ein Team am Ende eines agilen Sprints oder einer Iteration noch unfertige Arbeiten übrig hat. Idealerweise würde ein Team immer jedes Item im Sprint Backlog während des Sprints fertigstellen. Aus den verschiedensten Gründen ist das jedoch nicht immer der Fall.
