Sweet Children is the third EP by American rock band Green Day. It was released in August 1990 through Skene! Records. The name of the EP is a reference to a previous name of the band. One of the tracks is a cover of "My Generation" by The Who.
Before taking its current name in 1989, the band was named Blood Rage, then Sweet Children. They were part of the late 1980s/early 1990s Bay Area punk scene that emerged from the 924 Gilman Street club in Berkeley, California. The band's early releases were with the independent record label Lookout!
Im Jahr 1987 gründeten die damals 15-jährigen Schulfreunde Billie Joe Armstrong und Mike Dirnt die Punk-Band Sweet Children. Später stieß der Schlagzeuger Al Sobrante dazu, der dank der Erfahrungen mit seiner vorherigen Band Isocracy Auftritte für Sweet Children organisierte.
