  2. 3. Mai 2019 · Second Chapter is the debut solo album by British blues rock musician Danny Kirwan, released in 1975 on the DJM Records label. This was his first solo album after being dismissed from Fleetwood Mac in 1972, and his solo career was being managed by ex-Mac manager Clifford Davis. -wiki. Allmusic critic Joe Viglione declared that Second Chapter ...

  3. 20. Aug. 2008 · The band admit this album was made at a really scary time for them. Green had just left and the band was left to be fronted by Jeremy Spencer, who’d been frozen out on the previous album, and Danny Kirwan, who was very young and possibly too fragile to be the focal point of the band. That said, some very good tunes on this album. The ...

  4. 15. Mai 2020 · Kirwan exemplifies that dichotomy in many musicians, where they can so confidently and powerfully express themselves through music, but their personal lives are anything but confident and powerful... more like a shambles. It's a shame that there wasn't better help available for Danny in the early 70's. CrawdaddySim1, Sep 21, 2020. #19.

  5. 14. Okt. 2006 · A recent "early" FM thread got me to thinking. I think Danny Kirwan was a genious of melancholy/melodic songs. I'm a big fan of the "middle years" of FM, more commonly known as the "Bob Welch" era. But, as others have noted, DK joined FM in the Peter Green era and made some great music then, as well. I love his vocals almost as much as his ...

  6. 9. Juli 2024 · I'm sat listening to Fleetwood Mac's Kiln House thinking to myself how one writer, Danny Kirwan, is on excellent form whilst the other main writer on this album, Jeremy Spencer, is not. The rockabilly, Elvis impersonation of Spencer or Shakin' Stevens as my wife thought, ruins the mood and flow.

  7. 31. Dez. 2013 · Unfortunately, it was the curse that plagued this band. I consider the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac (including Danny Kirwan) the supreme British blues band of the era. There were none better than they were in my opinion. Sax-son, Jan 1, 2017. #64. Napagirl, Bernard hansen and Mike Campbell like this.

  8. 8. Juni 2018 · Nothing on Tidal for Danny Kirwan at all. I looked at various download options, nothing. I then did a search on eBay, Amazon and Discogs and the Repertoire release on CD was available form prices ranging from $39.95 (The Russian Federation - they always seem to have the good stuff, the sought after stuff) on up to $150.00. I'm not making any kind of jump until I hear it again not trusting this ...

  9. 2. Apr. 2019 · I'm a big fan of all lineups of Fleetwood Mac, but I'm not really excited by this. The blues era has been beaten to death in endless compilations probably more severely than the Buck/Nicks years, and that's saying a lot. It's telling that even after Danny Kirwan's death, we get yet another rehash of the same Peter Green-centric songs. Maybe in ...

  10. 8. Juni 2018 · This ballad is the core of Kirwan, his deepest thoughts on life manifested through the words of Rupert Brooke, who himself was deceased by the age of 28. Lulling and calming, but thought-provoking at the same time, Danny Kirwan 's "Dust" is an exceptional canticle loved by many Fleetwood Mac fans. Video unavailable.
